Authentic artifacts from traditional sugar mills

The museum exhibits a collection of authentic artifacts that were used in traditional sugar mills. This includes everything from the millstones or presses that ground sugar cane to extract its juice.

To the large pans where the sugar cane juice was cooked to transform it into honey or panela, each piece tells the story of traditional sugar production.

Sugar and Honey Production Process

From cane cutting to final product

Through the exhibitions, visitors can follow step by step the complete process: from cutting the cane, through grinding, cooking the juice, clarification and finally crystallization.

To produce the candy or reduction to obtain honey. Models or recreations may be shown that illustrate the operation through photos and detailed explanations.
